Did you know that I actually ring a bell every time I book an event? That’s how important sales are to a small business. Every phone call, credit card swipe, or dollar spent means the world to small companies. I make it my mission during the holiday season to buy 90% of gifts from local businesses or in a physical store. I cannot say shopping small is the easiest. The biggest hurdles for me is time management, leaving the house, and research.
Although 2020 was a weird world where hanging out at local coffee shops, restaurants, or bars wasn’t truly possible, but I cannot imagine brick & mortars no longer existing. When I think of my favorites cities in the state, country, and world it is about their culture. That culture includes the restaurants, shops, and people.
One fun thing about being an event planner is constantly researching amazing companies. Although I work throughout the country, I am focusing my feature today on Connecticut companies that are in my neighborhood.

I was hesitant to feature the shop because how often I frequent, and it truly is my go to shop.
