Blue and White Coastal Cocktail-Style Wedding in Darien, CT
From the waterfront ceremony to the open air reception, we’re so excited to share with you Katie & Michael’s summer wedding that took place at The Tokeneke Club in Darien, Connecticut. This couple took high-energy celebration to a whole new level. From the very first meeting, Katie & Michael knew they did not want a traditional wedding celebration. Instead, they wanted their guests to enjoy a cocktail-style unforgettable evening and that is exactly what occurred.
To kick things off, guests were welcomed to the waterfront of Darien, CT with jaw-dropping views of the Long Island Sound. Overhead were romantic vines of greenery framing where Katie and Michael would begin the next chapter of their love story. The air was filled with the sweetest sound of live musicians playing the couple’s favorite tunes. Katie looked effortlessly stunning in her Watters gown and Michael was the most dapper in his Indochino suit.
Once the ceremony commenced, guests were invited to join cocktail hour with the most delicious array of hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails from the incredible team at the Tokeneke Club. The party was truly just getting started.
As guests entered the reception area their attention was immediately drawn up to the open air venue rich with history dating back to 1903! The stunning white structure was the perfect blank slate to bring Katie & Michael’s seaside soiree vision to life.
The next portion of the evening will forever be remembered as “ultimate dance party”. The McLean Avenue Band is a renowned Irish band who kept the dance floor packed all night long. Guests danced the night away under the stars while indulging in exciting food stations such as a “taco fiesta” “Greek Isles” and “All American Sliders”.
To conclude an unforgettable celebration, the newlyweds were ushered out of their reception with a sparkler exit. This seaside soiree will always remain one for the books!
